on dressing up

When it comes to my personal style, I’d have to say I’m more of a practical dresser. I love prints, patterns, geometric shapes and color, but in reality, having a closet full of these types of clothing is quite expensive. It’s harder to repeat pieces with loud colors and prints and when you do, you start to see it fade after several washes and eventually send it to the back of your closet. So when it comes to shopping, I always go for different cuts, textures and neutral plains that I can repeatedly wear and change up by adding accessories. Don’t get me wrong though, I still love statement pieces and do have a few of these in my closet. But I try as much as possible to buy items I can wear 100 times.

When I decided to make something for the ladies at Common Ware, I made it, of course, one of the most versatile pieces you will have in your wardrobe.

Pique – So it doesn’t easily bacon and fade after several washes and is slightly thicker than your regular cotton dress so it lasts longer
Loose – So it fits more body types, looks more decent, and you can eat a buffet and not worry about your food baby
Color – Plain Navy Blue, White and Grey. The most basic of colors.

Simple, elegant, and versatile. Change it up with your accessories and you’ll never have to look like an outfit repeater again.
